One accentOrange means “needs you.” Nothing else is orange.

A calm product for a loud job.

Designed

Five screens that cover a service business’s day: onboarding, a Today dashboard, a job detail with checklist and photos, a week schedule, and settings.

Intended to

Give an owner the day at a glance — what’s next, who’s on it, what’s unassigned — and give a crew everything a job needs on site, without a second app.

Considerations

White cards on a soft gray canvas, a five-tab structure, one accent reserved for the primary action, and rows, chips and tiles shared across every screen so the product feels like one thing.

Primary workflow

The job carries everything.

A crew on site shouldn’t need to call the office. The job screen holds the time window, who’s assigned, a map, the checklist for the day and a place for photos — then exactly two actions: message, or complete.

Status is a chip, not a color wash. Done items strike through instead of disappearing.

Sidework concept — Schedule screen

Data, lightly

A week you can read at a glance.

The schedule is the one screen with real density, so it borrows the calendar patterns people already know: a week strip, an hour rail, and blocks tinted by crew. No charts, no legends to decode — the crew filter is the legend.

Sidework concept — component sheet: buttons, job rows, status chips and stat tiles

Component system. Buttons, job rows, status chips and stat tiles — the same four pieces reused on every screen.

01

Consistency

One row style for jobs, one chip style for status, one tile style for numbers. Learn it once.

02

Hierarchy

Greeting, counts, then the list. The screen answers “what’s next” before anything else.

03

One accent

Orange is reserved for the primary action and anything unassigned. Everything else stays neutral.

04

Native patterns

Tab bar, grouped settings, toggles, back chevrons — borrowed from the platform, not reinvented.

05

Restrained motion

Transitions are functional: a sheet slides, a check fills. Nothing bounces.

06

Honest data

Every number in these screens is placeholder UI content — a concept, not a product with users.

Design details

Soft gray, white cards, one orange.

Flow. From first launch to a working day to the settings that keep it quiet.

About this project. Sidework is not a real product, and this is not client work. It is a self-initiated concept built by Snyder Creative Studio to show app and product design beyond marketing websites. Every name, number and person in the screens is placeholder content; there are no users, downloads or results to report.
